What, who and where?

What (Mission)

Our mission in the SCN-LAB is to figure out why the human mind is embedded in others' minds to make sense of ours' minds. This means we do lots of different kinds of science with lots of different people. Some cognitive science labs specialize in a particular technique or population, like fMRI, MEG, EEG or infant research. In contrast, we specialize in a topic. As such, our projects tend to sprawl across fields, time zones, and history — some things we do are pretty typical psychology experiments, while other things we do are hard to classify into a particular field.

We're excited to have you on board!

Who

The lab is a product of a joined forces between the Department of Cognition, Development and Educational Psychology (Cognitive processes) and the Social Psychology Department of the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Barcelona.

To become a member of the SCN Lab community you need to be working at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Barcelona. In case you are not staff at the faculty, you can still become a member if you have an official project collaboration with a member of the faculty.

Being a member of the SCN Lab community allows you to access the Calendar, SharePoint, the email list, and the lab facilities. It is your responsibility to adhere to the SCN Lab norms of use and obligations.

Where

The laboratory is situated in the theater building, which is directly across from the Faculty of Psychology at the Mundet Campus of the University of Barcelona:

Situated on the building's first floor, the laboratory consists of three distinct areas: a control room, an experimental room, and a waiting room:
