Scalp EEG

The SCN lab is equipped with a BrainAmp ActiveSet EEG (Brain Products) recording system (32 channels).

The Brainamp EEG system is a renowned and widely used electroencephalography (EEG) system that offers comprehensive capabilities for capturing and analyzing brain activity. It is a high-quality, research-grade EEG system that provides researchers and clinicians with advanced tools for studying and understanding the electrical signals generated by the brain.

The Brainamp EEG system consists of a set of 32 electrodes that are placed on the scalp to detect and record the electrical activity of the brain. These electrodes are connected to an amplifier unit that accurately amplifies and digitizes the signals, ensuring optimal signal quality and minimal noise interference.

One of the key strengths of the Brainamp EEG system is its flexibility and scalability. It supports a wide range of electrode configurations, allowing for various electrode montages and adaptability to specific research requirements. This system also offers a high number of channels, enabling the simultaneous recording of multiple brain regions with high spatial resolution.

The Brainamp EEG system has been widely utilized in diverse research areas such as neuroscience, cognitive psychology, clinical neurology, and brain-computer interface development. Its reliability, versatility, and robust performance make it a valuable tool for investigating brain function, understanding neural processes, and advancing our knowledge of the human brain.

Behavioral Testing Room

The lab occupies a spacious area that can be utilized as a Behavioral Testing Room, accommodating both individual participants and small groups of people. Its ample size provides flexibility for conducting various behavioral experiments and assessments, allowing for a comfortable and controlled environment. Whether it involves individual testing sessions or collaborative research involving small groups, the lab's expansive space offers versatility and adaptability to accommodate different experimental setups and research requirements. Researchers can take advantage of this room to conduct behavioral studies, observe participant responses, and gather valuable data in a conducive and well-equipped environment.
