Coordinating Team

The coordination of the SCN Lab is carried out jointly by the Department of Cognition, Development, and Educational Psychology (Cognitive Process) and the Department of Social Psychology, both housed within the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Barcelona.

The two departments have appointed two representative members who form a coordination team. Alongside the general coordinator and the Research Dean of the faculty, this team is responsible for coordinating all activities of the lab.

The Team

The SCN Lab is coordinated by the following people:

  1. Dr. Lluís Fuentemilla (Coordinator)

  2. Dr. Núria Codina (Dept. Social Psychology)

  3. Dr. Josep Marco-Pallarés (Dept. Cognition, Development and Educational Psychology)

  4. Dr. David Gallardo (Research Dean, Faculty of Psychology - UB)

The tasks of the Coordinating Team

The tasks of the coordinating team will be as follows:

  1. Regulate the use of the laboratory. A calendar will be created to record lab reservations and the responsible researcher. This calendar will be shared among users and regulated according to experimental requirements.

  2. Establish a system for distributing experimental expenses. This system should take into account the experimental needs and the laboratory's maintenance requirements.

  3. Coordinate the lab expenses among researchers and departments of the faculty.

  4. Ensure the safety and integrity of lab research.

  5. Establish a data storage system. A space will be created in the SharePoint of Campus Mundet-UB to store the data acquired in the lab. The data must comply with the security criteria established by UB. The data will be openly accessible to other lab users as long as explicit agreements are met between the responsible researchers of each experiment.

  6. Promote projects by young researchers.

  7. Foster projects that promote research collaborations among members of associated departments.

  8. Promote obtaining funding to improve the lab infrastructure.

  9. Determine the possibility of offering the space to projects and research groups not affiliated with the Faculty of Psychology at UB. In this case, a rental fee and associated experimental costs will be determined.

  10. Generate an annual report summarizing the conducted experiments.
